One of the main goals of this NoE is to support the efficient exploitation of metamaterial technology developments by industry, particularly SMEs. New and revolutionary approaches provide a significant potential for product and technology innovation to foment the competitiveness of industry and SMEs in the global market. Novel exciting applications are foreseen for many fields, such as communications, security, space, environment, etc. Therefore, a close collaboration with European industry aiming at the leading positions in the emerging world market of metamaterials is among the highest priorities of this NoE. For this purpose:

• R&D collaboration with the network and with network partners is actively pursued.
• Educational courses and workshops are regularly organized by the network.
